China Sanya Yacht Import & Export Trade Association

ILIAD Catamarans

Association visit

The company's route into manufacturing is the reverse of most: it began as a design firm supplying designs to other yards, then built its own factory in China once order volume justified taking on the capacity itself.

The 53 ft catamaran is the platform — at this stage almost the only model built. Around twenty units of the 53 series have been produced over the past three years, in two versions: the 53F with flybridge, and the 53S sport version without, the latter designed around bridge clearance limits in parts of Australian waters. Build time runs roughly eight to ten months.

A 60 ft catamaran is the current expansion: tooling is complete and the first hull is in build, expected out around October or November 2026. A 75 ft remains at design stage and has not entered production.

Australia is the core market, with the sales team based there. The United States has an agent and the channel is being developed, though volume is less established. Europe is being worked on — a representative is being sought, and a boat has already been delivered to Montenegro, so end-customer delivery exists ahead of a formal channel. The Middle East is not yet addressed.

Core processes are kept in-house to control quality, with outsourcing deliberately held to a small proportion.
