China Sanya Yacht Import & Export Trade Association

Tangrong Yachts

Association visit

The team carries roughly forty years of combined experience across Taiwan and the mainland, with the Xiamen plant itself in operation for over twenty. It is an experience-led, craft-led yard, and not a pure contract manufacturer — it holds its own brand and tooling alongside partnerships with overseas brands.

Its strength is manufacturing rather than marketing. The yard is candid that brand communication, English-language market engagement and international promotion receive comparatively limited investment — a characteristic it shares with much of the Chinese industry.

Product focus is large, heavily built, long-range and lifestyle-oriented — suited to American long-distance cruising rather than the European emphasis on line, speed and visual impact. The 77–80 ft band is the yard's most representative range; around 60 ft is a further established commercial size; a 47.5 ft model exists but smaller, more standardised work is not where its organisation and process are strongest.

Two manufacturing characteristics stand out. Joinery and interior work is repeatedly cited as well ahead of peers, spanning solid timber, light and dark walnut, veneers, lacquer and wall fabrics — not a single templated approach but genuine custom integration, which at larger sizes is a core competitive advantage. Material specification runs thick and solid, with some overseas brand programmes explicitly refusing short-stock jointing. The selling point is not surface appearance but long-term durability and condition.
